Daniel Johnnes' La Paulée was born from Daniel's desire to bring the generosity, camaraderie and deliciousness of Burgundy from rural France to America. Great Burgundies are a joy, meant to be shared and enjoyed without pretense. Year after year, La Paulée continues to create unique opportunities for Burgundy enthusiasts both new and old to appreciate the world's finest wines paired with exquisite cuisine.
With the goal of spreading the spirit of La Paulée to an even greater audience, La Paulée Burgundy Week was born in 2012. Since, then the cream of the crop of San Francisco and New York dining have joined us in spreading the joy of Burgundy. Once again in 2014, during the two weeks leading up to La Paulée, the city will be abuzz with Burgundy — Burgundy wines by the glass, Burgundy-inspired menus, expanded Burgundy sections on wine-lists — enabling diners to continue to discover the endless joys of the region and share in the convivial spirit of La Paulée.
